Mario Carrozzo serves as founder and CEO of Caridon Property Group. He has worked in the property development industry since leaving school, acquiring and developing his first property at the age of 18 – with the purchase financed by his own savings. Over the past 25 years, Mario Carrozzo has continued to run several extremely successful property businesses, generating a substantial self-made portfolio.
Caridon Property Group was founded in 2009. Over the years, the company has grown to become a market leader in UK residential property. Caridon Property Group prides itself on delivering award-winning service to landlords and tenants alike as a leading provider of social housing that has housed more than 10,000 tenants to date.
In 2017, Caridon Property Group was proud to be recognised in the Croydon Business Excellence Awards, a red-carpet, black-tie event staged at Croydon’s Grand Sapphire Hotel. A record-breaking 85 firms were shortlisted for the Croydon Business Excellence Awards, with more than 200 businesses entering in total, representing a 50% increase on the previous year.
Mario Carrozzo was recognised with an Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Croydon Business Excellence Awards 2017, a sparkling black-tie gala that was hosted by comedian Kevin Day. The sold-out event is a calendar highlight for Croydon’s business community, providing an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and successes with a fantastic evening of dancing, dinner and entertainment.
Addressing the audience as he collected his award, Mario Carrozzo dedicated it to his parents, explaining that it was an amazing achievement but indicating that for him the journey of entrepreneurship starts at birth and has a lot to do with circumstances, obstacles you face and the people you surround yourself with. Mr Carrozzo quipped that his 83-year-old father was in the audience and ‘still out and about looking for deals!’
