Kindling restaurant launches its tasting menu plus wine pairing

Date:

Kindling restaurant in Brighton is excited to announce the launch of its Sunday night tasting menu.

The special weekly menu allows diners to sample an amazing selection of what Kindling has to offer. It is ideal for those who aren’t content with picking just one or two options from a menu or are unsure how to narrow down Kindling’s exciting offering.

The tasting menu also works wonderfully well with Kindling’s ethos of using seasonal food in order to minimise waste and keep their menu as environmentally responsible as possible, while delivering on flavour.

The menus will change as foods come in and out of season but right now you can experience: smoked beetroot gravlax, grilled Sussex king oyster mushroom with aerated potato, Roasted halibut with a bergamot brown butter, grilled Saddlescombe lamb haunch with fermented plum, Sussex Slipcote sheep’s cheese with blackberries and fresh honeycomb, Bramley apple sorbet and Sapling vodka; as well as carrot cake tiramisu’, crème fraiche, candied walnuts.

Holly Taylor, co-founder and chef at Kindling restaurant said: “We are so pleased to present this menu to both existing and new guests at Kindling. It is a great opportunity to showcase both our innovative dishes and how our menu evolves depending on the seasons. It also means customers can try several dishes and see which ones they love most for when they visit to enjoy our a la carte menu on another evening.”

This menu is available on Sunday evenings only and caters for vegetarian, pescatarian and gluten-free diners. The a la carte menu is also still available on that evening and has other dietary options covered.

On top of this, diners can also choose to enjoy the wine flight which currently offers a full bodied, generously flavoured Chardonnay; a crisp, dry and ‘bracing’ Verdejo; a New Zealand Merlot Cabernet blend and a lively Moscato.

Toby Geneen, co-founder and chef at Kindling restaurant said of the wine pairing: “This is so much more than white wine with fish and red wine with meat. We have selected wines that truly compliment the dishes and combine flavours to really perfect your dining experience.”

The tasting menu is £75 and the wine pairing is an additional £30.

And for an extra special treat, Kindling is offering an exclusive New Year’s Eve tasting menu, which promises to be a rolling feast of exceptional food, incredible wine and generous hospitality, with both vegan and non-vegan options available from £75 per person. Limited spaces are available.
