Fat Hippo, the renowned independent burger restaurant, will open its first London location on Shoreditch’s Great Eastern Street on Friday 14th October, giving away 100 free burgers to the first 100 guests through the door.
Born in 2010 with roots in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Shoreditch will be Fat Hippo’s 15th location across the UK. Recognised for their quality ingredients and quirky flavours, Fat Hippo’s menu is made up of signature burgers, including 100% British beef patties from trusted supplier Aubrey Allen and double buttermilk chicken burgers, all of which come with free hand cut chips as standard, together with a wide range of vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and halal options.
Sink your teeth into signatures such as the Fat Hippo – a double patty loaded with American cheese, smoked bacon, chorizo, onion rings and original recipe Fat Hippo sauce, as well as the unique PB+JJ – a double patty with chunky peanut butter, American cheese, bacon jam and smoked chilli jello. All burgers are served with ‘Hippo seasoned’ hand-cut chips (#FreeTheChip!) with additional sides including frickles (fried pickles), dirty fries and wings available for diners to load up on!
Drinks will include the brand’s own Fat Hippo IPA, Fat Hippo Hillbilly Lager and a range of indulgent Naughty Shakes. Fat Hippo’s menu will also be available on Deliveroo exclusively, bringing their famous burgers, loaded fries, sides and shakes straight to your door.
Each Fat Hippo location is unique, and Fat Hippo Shoreditch takes influence from the area’s vibrant art and tech scene with urban stripped back décor with feature steel, custom-designed copper-plated artwork and exposed brickwork.
