A LEADING independent insurance brokers has welcomed an experienced industry specialist to its team as part of its ongoing expansion.
Corinne Cooper will work with clients across the North East and North Yorkshire in her new role as an account executive with H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB).
Corinne, who was previously an agent with the NFU Mutual, brings more than a decade of experience to HHIB, which operates across the North of England, the Scottish Borders and Wales.
She said: “After 12 years with the NFU Mutual, it felt like the right time in my career to make a move and H&H Insurance Brokers has provided me with a brilliant opportunity to do more of what I love about the job: working closely with clients to get the best possible cover for them – and being there when they need support.
“I’m looking forward to using the industry knowledge which I have built up over the years in my role, and getting out and about to meet clients.”
H&H Insurance Brokers arranges a broad portfolio of insurance for clients in all types of businesses across sectors including agricultural and rural, commercial, property, and tourism and hospitality.
Corinne, who lives on the family farm near Hartlepool, will use her agricultural background in her role with HHIB, which is known for its expertise in the rural sector.
She said: “Being from a farming background helps me to understand the particular insurance requirements of farmers and other businesses in the agricultural sector, and find ways to help them get the right cover at the right price.”
Corinne’s appointment is part of HHIB’s continued growth. The Carlisle-based firm expanded its business in the North East earlier this year, with the acquisition of Tynedale Insurance Services, and also increased its presence in Wales with the opening of an office in Wrexham.
Paul Graham, Managing Director of H&H Insurance Brokers, said: “Corinne is a fantastic addition to the H&H Insurance Brokers’ team.
“Her experience and knowledge will be a huge asset to the firm and further strengthens our presence in the North East and North Yorkshire. We’re looking forward to supporting her as she embarks on the next exciting stage of her career.”
Before starting her career in insurance, Corinne worked in the equine sector, teaching horse riding and managing a stableyard. She joined the NFU Mutual in 2010 as an account manager, specialising in commercial, agricultural and rural insurance, and became an agent in 2018.
A former member of Young Farmers, she often helps out on her parents’ mixed enterprise of suckler cows, sheep and arable. Corinne, who has a 10 year-old son, is developing her own flock of sheep on the farm and keeps two horses.
