Flexible workspace provider, beyond, ramps up support for SMEs amid cost-of-living hardship

Date:

Six months since successfully launching flexible workspace in London’s Aldgate Tower, beyond has launched a cost-saving initiative to make office space more affordable and accessible to small businesses.

Entrepreneurial spirit is at an all-time high, with over 800,000 small businesses established across the UK since 2020.

Despite this, skyrocketing energy costs, spiralling inflation rates and supply chain issues persisting from the pandemic pose a real threat to SMEs’ survival, not to mention rendering growth and innovation difficult. According to a report from the Federation of Small Businesses, over half of small businesses are anticipating zero, or even negative, growth within the next year.

Dedicated to supporting small businesses during this challenging period, beyond has taken action by launching a new set of prices for smaller offices within its beyond Aldgate Tower flexible workspace. SMEs can now access updated prices for office space, ranging from one to six desks, at a reduced rate of up to 30% from the previous year. All rates for new beyond members will be frozen for 6 months, ensuring easier financial planning as other costs rise around them.

These rates are inclusive of all operational costs, including electricity and even coffee. With rising energy prices affecting businesses across the world, beyond members have the security of knowing that there are no unexpected fees at the end of the month, enabling them to better manage their cash flow.

Wybo Wijnbergen, CEO and Co-founder of beyond, said: “Small businesses have achieved incredible things in recent times despite immense challenges and a global pandemic. Yet, with overheads rising so sharply, it’s clear that startups and SMEs need more support. It is essential that financial worries don’t impede their recent success.

“We understand the importance of budding entrepreneurship. Earlier this year we ran a successful startup competition, where entrepreneurs could win three months of free workspace. Building on this, we want to do more to see small businesses thrive, not simply keep their heads above water.

“Providing small businesses with modern, flexible workspaces that foster connectivity and innovation is imperative, and it is equally important that these spaces don’t break the bank. We are proud to offer flexible workspace at a reduced rate for SMEs at this time and look forward to welcoming new members.”
