Zoom Will Remove Time Constraints On Key Days Of Christmas

Date:

After a year full of successes and with the pandemic still present, Zoom is going to relax its limitations during Christmas. A few weeks ago we informed you that Zoom has been the star application of 2020 and how it has quadrupled its benefits.

It is true that, regardless of the ups and downs in terms of security, it has managed to meet the demands of users , but these are still great and will multiply in an atypical Christmas. Displacement is going to be reduced worldwide and many families are not going to be reunited due to the coronavirus pandemic .

In order to help all these people and strengthen the application, Zoom will eliminate the limit of 40 minutes in meetings that exists in free accounts , at least for a period of time.

In this way, users will not go to other applications and will be able to enjoy free video calls with family members for as long as they want, even during dinners and lunches , just as it happened in previous celebrations.

Zoom already removed this 40-minute limitation in the United States this past Thanksgiving, according to The Verge . But this time the limit will be eliminated throughout the planet so that all those who wish to celebrate those days regardless of borders.

These limitations in meetings with three or more users will be eliminated during a few very specific days :

Hanukkah : today and tomorrow.
Christmas Eve and Christmas : from December 23 to 26
New Years Eve and New Years : from December 30 to January 2.

The hours will vary depending on each country, but the important thing is that three or more friends or family can connect as long as they want without having to look at the clock with concern, a small holiday gift that many will surely appreciate . Technology has to be of help to everyone and surely this Christmas serves to reduce distances.
